The Overview
RealSelf users often seek treatment information that is both concise and trustworthy—details like cost, recovery time, expected results, longevity, and risks matter most. To meet this need, we created a new Treatment Overview page that surfaced these essentials in a clean, user-centered format. This initiative aligned with RealSelf’s broader mission to break stigmas around cosmetic procedures and build a safe, empowering platform for self-education and informed decisions. By combining clear UX, inclusive imagery, and strategic testing, this page quickly became one of the most visited and trusted content experiences on the site.

MY ROLE
As the lead designer, I collaborated with product, engineering, and content teams to design the new Treatment Overview experience. I led the end-to-end UX strategy—from MVP wireframes to final visuals—conducting user testing and a live A/B test across 12 treatment pages. I also directed the art direction by curating inclusive, editorial-style imagery based on qualitative feedback. The final experience reflected the brand’s “my body, my rules” ethos and empowered users to make confident, informed choices.
The Experience
The rebrand revitalized RealSelf's visual identity and improved brand recognition. Although early metrics, such as provider website clicks, showed a temporary 20% decline, the team quickly iterated on key UI elements to restore balance and improve engagement. The rebrand ultimately strengthened user trust, positioning RealSelf as a leader in the cosmetic treatment space while setting the stage for future growth.
