Treatment Overview— be fully informed before deciding

RealSelf's research based on user data has revealed that customers seek treatment overview information that includes general cost, recovery time, expected results, longevity, and risks. This information is crucial in enabling customers to make informed decisions about their treatments.

In response to this need, I was tasked to design a new treatment overview page that offers essential information to assist customers in making intelligent treatment decisions. The page provides a comprehensive yet concise summary of the treatment and offers a glimpse of the in-depth content that RealSelf provides.

PROCESS & TESTING

The stakeholders gave the core team a content skeleton that aided in early concepting. The team agreed on an MVP wireframe for research after brainstorming and iterating. User testing and a live A/B test were conducted with the larger team's collaboration.

In a ten-day split A/B test on 12 main treatment pages, the team focused on dwell time and user bounce rate to learn about user engagement rates.

The Results

Our final design struck a balance between an editorial and clinically chic. As a platform that aims to break the stigma of cosmetic surgery and provide a trusted space for people to share, we aimed to enhance our brand through a polished and simple user experience. We utilized more space, curated trusted content, at-a-glance components, and personable photography to achieve this.

Existing users were excited to see the new brand and loved the "certified by a provider" feature at the top of the page. They felt that they could trust the information.

More than 50% of the users enjoyed the condensed QA content & At-A-Glance feature.
